OXBLOOD IS THE NEW BLACK

Everywhere I look FALL is in the air, more prominently, the "IT" color of fall "OXBLOOD", IMO it's the new black!  Whether it's make-up, shoes, handbags or jackets OXBLOOD's flooding the market with its rich, deep, red tones.  After months of anticipation fashion mavens everywhere can pull those blazers from the back of the closet, grab a pair of  fave boots, and find the perfect cashmere....preferably in "OXBLOOD" because it's FALL Y'ALL!!

Where were you September 15th?? HOUSTON BLOGGER SYMPOSIUM

I'd been waiting for what seemed like forever to attend the "Houston Blogger Symposium". I was excited from the moment I found out about it!  Here I was a novice,wanna-be blogger and I was gonna get to chat with some of the best bloggers in Houston.  I rushed to the website to purchase my ticket and guess what...IT WAS SOLD OUT!!!..I knew that I had to figure out a way to go, so I posted a message on the #HBSymposium Facebook Page that I was willing to buy a ticket from anyone who couldn't attend.  I then
stalked the FB Page everyday waited patiently until they added a WAITLIST.  I am pretty sure I was the first person on it.  Not long after that I got and email from MEGAN at GreetingsfromTX, the Symposium Organizer, that they were allowing 7 more attendees and I was one of the first on the waitlist.  YES!!!

The symposium was held at Hotel ZaZa in the Museum District.  If you don't know about this place...GO!  They have the best shrimp and sliders at the Hotel bar ever!  NO! I never drank too many Martini's and decided to eat something to help with the dizziness. Uhm yeah, where was I, so anyway let me tell you about the event.

IPhone5 Goes Pretty???

Here' s a not so fun fact about me....I'm kind of, sort of, perplexingly, um- tech challenged...which means although I'm creative, I'm not very savvy when it comes to understanding the functions of the PC, Mac, IPad, IPhone, Galaxytab...I think you get the drift.  My "HE" (Husband Extraordinaire) was super excited to hear about the new IPhone 5 being released.  He talked about the bigger screen, the longer battery life, the super way it's supposed to zip around the Internet in a single bound.   I get it! -It's the new "Superman" of cell phones.  The highly speculated release date for the new gadget is said to be tomorrow 9/21/2012 and as "HE" spoke on and on about all the bells and whistles my mind began to wonder to the "PRETTY" side , and I immediately started to think about all those cute IPhone 5 cases, that would undoubtedly hit the market instantaneously.  I LURRRVVVE phone cases and the reason why you asked??? Is because for every person who uses one, the case gives us a little insight into their personality, right?
